This is a happy weekend for me - after having an insane amount of stuff due at the same time the last two weeks or so, I have next to nothing for homework this weekend. It's awesome! Monday will be fun because my Speech/US History class is doing a presentation on Women's History (primarily suffrage stuff) so I get to wear a suit! *happy dance* I don't have many opportunities to wear those any more.
Overall school is going well - I just got an A on my western civ midterm which is sweet! I picked up 14 points from last semester's score which makes me happy - I think my English class has proly helped me some in on the spot writing, but then again, I think rebuttal still holds first place in that category.

My head has been spinning the last week or so - in addition to suddenly overflowing with story ideas (which rarely happens), it's taken up the hobby of playing multiple songs at once, and so I get this weird cacaphony of melodies harmonizing (or not...) with each other. It's rather amusing, and as one friend put it, "sounds really funny."

As for life...well I'm turning 19 in less than 2 weeks. It feels weird to be this old - for so long when I was younger, college students were ancient boring people who all got married to each other. *grin* Now most of my friends are in college, or will be soon. And others are getting married and having kids (yay Julie!), etc. And my brother just got a prom invitation for the school where he's dual enrolled. (And ladies if he goes, I'm his date. :P) Even my siblings are growing up! Anyways, to be turning my last "-teen" is weird. I definitely feel on the brink of...life. To have the world at my feet and the wind at my back is simultaneously exhilarating and unnerving. To have so much before me...I am so thankful to have God  guide me every step of the way. Otherwise I'd feel positively overwhelmed - but being able to rest in God is so freeing. I love being able to trust in His perfect plan and timing, and just living each day to the fullest with the things that God has given me to do - primarily school right now. But guitar lessons is also something there, and I feel that this is something I have been given by God and need to be faithful in practicing, etc.

I've really enjoyed reading Second Corinthians - I keep coming back to it. Psalm 85 and 86 were also really cool. David's prayer to a God to "unite my heart" and later to "keep his heart" are just incredible. But I'll let you look them up and read them. Let me know what you think of them if you have time - I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hmm...What is my life like right now? I stay in touch with most of you guys on facebook which is why I haven't posted on here in so long. I'm 4 weeks into my second full semestr of college, although by the time I finish it, I will have completed 44 credit hours. So technically at this point I'm a sophomore and not a freshman. Which is a rather cool thing. *grin*

Yesterday was a busy day for me. I spent the morning with daddy, just talking and stuff. It was really nice - we ahdn't done that in forever, and I hadn't truly realized how much I missed doing that and having that special time with him. Then I came home and cleaned the house, and had Shel over to play guitar. lol, the whole reaon was so we could show Spencer and Rachel how to, but either one of the was able to come after all. Oh well. Once w'd finished Shel took me with her to run some last minute errands before going to Joy's house for her surprise bday party. It was such fun!! And just so all you peoples know, dancing under the stars on a crystal night like last night - with handfuls of balloons is GLORIOUSLY fun!! And then so is listening to matt and mike after they inhale the helium. :P rofl. Good times. *nods*

The classes I'm taking this semester are: English Comp 121, Music Appreciation, Western Civ 2, and US History 2/Advanced Public Speaking. We get to do Parley debate later this year - I am SO excited about that!! Once again, God has deeply blessed me by giving me really cool professors and classes. I just need to do a slightly better job of not procrastinating on my homework - otherwise I'm up until the wee hours of the morning. :P But I don't really mind that much - I do my best work right before it's due. *nods*
And then tomorrow night, I'll have my weekly guitar lesson. I'm REALLY enjoying guitar - it's much more fun than I'd have thought or expected. Plus, I get to take it with Shel, which is cool. It's always nice to do something like this with someone you already know.

I have officially finished my first week of classes. *throws confetti and dances amongst it* That's another beautiful word - amongst.  That makes me happy. Finishing week 1 of college I mean. Random Fact of the Day: Law School is 100 weeks long. Give or take a bit. ::wise nod:: But I'm still not planning on going. So don't let your hopes up. Besides, most of you are going to law school. I let you do my dirty work. And then I can dance circles around you.
Wow...that was very me. I dance while everybody goes to law school. That actually sounds like fun. ::pauses for thought:: Or I could write my paper on Beowulf. That would be much more fun than politics....No, I think I'll dance. And just keep dancing through life. For naught could be as much fun! ::impish look::
